The Magnolia Report is reporting that Richard White has won in the special election for the 29th state senate district. MR also has a detailed breakdown of the race. With White's victory, the partisan balance in the state Senate will be 29 Democrats and 23 Republicans.

...for the lack of posting. I've been busy with family stuff and interviewing for a job. I'm anxiously awaiting for the company to call back on their decision. I had an initial interview last week and a follow up one last Monday; I think I have a good shot at getting the position, but I'll have to wait and see.
