Work Stuff.

Again, I apologize for the lack of blogging. Some things have transpired here at work that are going to cause me to be very busy here over the next week. In fact, I'm at work now on a Saturday.

North and South

In a story about the switch of Mississippi Southern District Public Service Commissioner Mike Callahan from the Democrat to Republican Party, it's pointed out that the Mississippi delegation to the national convention in NY will share the Hilton Times Square with the Vermont delegation. Now, there's a combination. Maybe the Magnolia Staters' conservatism will rub off on relatively more squishy folk from the Land of the Green Mountains.

Ventura 2008

If he wins, we can have bumper stickers saying: "My President can beat up your president/chancellor/prime minister/monarch/premier/emir/sheikh/totalitarian thug"

Poking fun

A Jamaican site reports on the recent vacation taken by Sen. Hillary Clinton to the island. According to the article,
The wife of former president Bill Clinton, Rodham Clinton is now a member of the US Senate from New York, the first former first lady ever to be elected to the US legislature. She is being touted as a likely Democratic presidential candidate in 2009.
Perhaps she's planning an early start for the 2012 election? snicker, snicker.

A Few Things...

Tax Day has come and gone. Fortunately, unlike those of you that were gainfully employed during 2003, I didn't have the hassle and anguish of having to file taxes. Neener neener neener.

A Hamas leader dies due to sudden, unexpected contact with an Israeli missle.

Robert Spencer at WND pens an article hoping that Iraq will become like Mississippi where Thomas Hamill, a civilian currently being held hostage by thugs in Iraqs, hails from.

Random thought: If we aren't supposed to talk to strangers, then how do we make friends?

I just love the photo with this story.

Seriously, what planet does this person live on?

Howdy

Sorry for the extended hiatus. I've been busy getting used to my new job plus there's some family business that I tend to.

So, yes, I'm still alive.
